Last Updated:2025-02-24

Architectural Supplements® LLC’s (“ASI”) fiberglass planters are designed with care and built to meet the highest quality standards. ASI warrants that your new Fiberglass Planter is free from defects in material and workmanship, subject to the following conditions.

Basic Coverage Period

This is to certify that ASI warrants to the first purchaser only, that the purchased fiberglass planter manufactured by it to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, when maintained properly, and under normal use and care.

ASI’s obligation to the first purchaser under this warranty shall be limited to replacement, repair or refund, at its sole option, of any fiberglass planter determined by ASI to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty will expire three (3) years after the date of purchase by the first purchaser, unless otherwise specified by ASI.

For fiberglass planters manufactured with a Double Tough Clear Coat added to the product (at an additional charge to the purchaser), ASI’s limited warranty will expire five (5) years after the date of purchase by the first purchaser, unless otherwise specified by ASI.  Double-Tough Clear Coat is highly recommended for exterior applications and high traffic areas and has a proven track record of withstanding the harshest UV environments.

These limited warranties set forth above are non-transferable, require proof of purchase, and include the following manufacturing defects:

  1. Cracks or Structural Failures: Issues with the structural integrity caused by production defects.
  2. Fading or Discoloration: Significant fading or discoloration from UV exposure, provided that the ASI care guidelines have been followed.
  3. Paint Defects: Peeling or delaminating paint due to manufacturing defects.

Exclusions The following are not covered under this warranty:

  1. General Wear & Tear: Scratches, chips, and surface marring are all considered common wear & tear.
  2. Improper Handling or Usage: Damage caused by improper handling, misuse, or abuse of the planters voids the warranty.
  3. Ignoring Instructions: Failure to adhere to the recommended handling, planting, or usage instructions results in voiding the warranty.
  4. Alterations: Any modifications or alterations to the planter voids the warranty.
  5. Lack of Proper Care: Neglect, such as failing to provide adequate drainage or failing to observe the care guidelines, will void the warranty.
  6. Accidents and Unforeseen Events: Damage caused by accidents or external hazards is not covered.
  7. Improper Storage: Storing planters in wet or humid environments or standing water, which can compromise their finish, is not covered.
  8. Drainage Requirements: The customer is responsible for ensuring proper drainage, especially in freezing conditions. Failure to do so voids the warranty.
  9. Claim-Related Costs: ASI is not liable for costs related to labor, shipping, delivery, or other expenses incurred during the claim process.

Paint-Specific Limitations and Exclusions

  • The planters are coated with UV-resistant automotive-grade paint designed to withstand harsh conditions typically found in the outdoor environment.
  • Damage to the paint finish caused by storing planters in damp environments or standing water is excluded.
  • While the paint is durable under normal circumstances, prolonged exposure to pooled water or concentrated solar reflections from windows and/or lenses can cause damage that is not covered under this warranty.
