Orders can be placed directly with Architectural Supplements® LLC by mail, fax, e-mail, on our website, or phone at our company headquarters in Waterbury, CT, using the following information:

New Accounts: All initial orders require payment in full. Please request a credit application to set up a net 30 account.

Returns, Cancellations and/or Changes: Orders are processed immediately upon receipt and normally cannot be cancelled after one business day has expired without a cancellation charge. Under any circumstances, Architectural Supplements® must approve a cancellation, but under no circumstances can “Quick Ship,” “Rush” or made-to-order orders be canceled. A 50% cancellation/re-stocking charge is levied on all approved cancellations or returns. Changes to an order must be approved by Architectural Supplements® and will result in an extension in the delivery date, which is dependent on the nature of the change.

Adequate entrances, elevators, clearance, etc.: Please ensure that all entrances, elevators, etc., are adequate for larger units.

Made-to-Order/Large Order Deposits: Made-to-Order items or unusually large orders may require a 50% non-refundable deposit. 

PRODUCT TYPES

Eco-Fiberglass Planters

Made from a mixture of resin, stone powder and fiber, these planters use 30% less fossil fuel than pure resin products. Great for exterior applications.

Recycled Planters

Our Phoenix and Rise Collections are made from materials that have already had a useful life, such as Retired Office Equipment, Automotive, or Household items. Some larger items in the Phoenix line are made using the same process as our “Eco-Fiberglass” Planters.

Living Walls

Our large portfolio of Living Walls products is designed for ease of installation, ease of use, and affordability. NextGen Living Walls are designed for manual, semiautomatic watering.

Natural Walls (BioMontage)

Made with natural materials that require no light, water, or maintenance.

Light Stone

Made from a combination of natural stone and resin, these lightweight planters are available in three natural finishes and are for interior use only.

Pottery Designs Fiber Clay

Made with natural clay composite made stronger with embedded fiber backing.

Salvaged Wood

Made from wood salvaged from pallets and shipping crates and then cleaned, planed, and sanded.

Epic Barnwood

Made from wood reclaimed from retired barns throughout the USA.

PAYMENT TERMS

Net 30 days when paying by check, wire, or ACH, pending credit approval. Payment is due at the time of order when paying by credit card. Orders over $4,000 are payable by check, wire, or ACH only.

Late charges of 2% per month, or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is less, apply to past-due balances.

CUSTOM COLOR/FINISH MATCHES

Architectural Supplements® can match most finish or color samples. The sample formulation charge to match a customer’s sample is $300.00 net per color/per order. The customer must furnish Architectural Supplements® with a minimum 3˝x3˝ color sample for matching purposes. We will submit samples for your approval, in most cases, within 14 days of the receipt of your sample. Standard lead times will be effective the day written approval of the sample is received.

DOUBLE TOUGH CLEARCOAT

Standard on Gemstone and Burnished Finishes. For Gloss, Matte, Metallics, add 20% for for our standard products and 40% for Optimum One™ and Phoenix™ products. Not available for non-painted products

Direct Planting

Most of our planters can be direct planted.  Please check with Customer Service if you are planning on direct planting. In the case of direct planting for an outdoor installation, we always recommend that drain holes are drilled into the bottom of the planters.  In the case of direct planting for an indoor installation, please line the planter using ASI liners or a minimum 1 mm thick plastic from a local hardware store. 

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for leaking planters. 

Care of Eco Fiberglass and Recycled Planters

These planters are all painted using high-grade automotive paint. If they become dirty, they can be washed using water and a mild dishwashing soap. If they become scratched, there are various polishing compounds that can be obtained at the local automotive store, which can sometimes restore the finish. We can also provide touch-up paint in some circumstances. Please contact Customer Service for more details.

Freight & Shipping Policy

All orders ship F.O.B. origin, freight prepaid. The standard freight charge is calculated as a percentage of the net order amount, based on product category:

Small shipments are sent via UPS or FedEx Ground. Larger shipments are sent via common carrier. Orders over $900, or containing an oversized item, will generally ship via common carrier freight.

Additional Freight Charges

The following surcharges apply where indicated and are in addition to the standard freight rate:

Residential / Limited Access

A $120 residential or limited access surcharge applies when the delivery location: does not have regular public business hours; is surrounded by homes; is a public storage facility, hospital, museum, stadium, government building, car dealership, country club, or gated community; or is located in an area where a standard 53’ trailer cannot access for delivery.

Liftgate / Hand-Unload

An $80 liftgate fee applies when the receiving location does not have a loading dock or forklift. Carriers apply this fee regardless of whether a liftgate is deployed or items are hand-unloaded.

Inside Delivery

Inside delivery brings the shipment across the threshold to the first floor only. It is not the same as White Glove service. This service must be requested at order placement.

Important: If you ask a driver to ‘bring that inside’ at time of delivery without having pre-arranged inside delivery, the freight company will treat this as an approval of inside delivery and bill accordingly.

Delivery Terms

All freight deliveries are curbside only, unless otherwise requested at the time of order placement. Additional services should be arranged in advance — requesting services at the time of delivery will result in higher costs billed back to your account.

Tip: If your business has limited hours, it is often more economical to pre-arrange a delivery appointment ($30) rather than incur a redelivery fee after a missed attempt.

Cartoning Charge

The total freight charge includes an 8% cartoning fee. For freight collect, third-party billing, or customer pickup arrangements, please add 8% to the net product cost to account for cartoning.

Minimum Charges 

Order Processing Fee

Orders under $150 are subject to a $25.00 processing fee in addition to the applicable freight percentage.

Minimum Freight — Oversized Items

Oversized items must ship via common carrier and are subject to a minimum freight charge of $180.00 per item. This minimum is waived when an order contains three or more oversized items — in that case, standard percentage rates apply to all items on the order, including oversized items.

Cross-Country Order Fulfillment

Standard shipping percentages reflect fulfillment from the distribution center nearest to the ship-to address. If products must ship from an alternate warehouse — for example, to avoid a restock delay — a freight quote will be required, as standard rates do not cover cross-country shipping costs.

Penalties & Additional Charges

Redelivery & Storage

A redelivery fee may be charged if a shipment cannot be delivered due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information or non-standard business hours. Storage charges may be billed to your account if a carrier is forced to hold a shipment at its terminal. Any additional services or charges requested at the time of delivery — including changes to the delivery location, notification, appointment, or inside delivery — will be billed back to the customer.

Damaged Merchandise

It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect all goods upon arrival. If goods arrive damaged:

• Mark the freight bill as “Received in Damaged Condition” before signing.

• Photograph both the damaged product and its packaging as received.

• Report the damage to Architectural Supplements within 24 hours of delivery so a freight claim can be filed.
